Food security for the clients is a top priority, and for this reason there is strict quality control throughout the process, right from the plantation of the cassava through to reaping and industrialisation. Specialist technicians also regularly carry out microbiological and microscopic tests, which follow the standards established by the Ministry for Agriculture, thereby ensuring that the clients shall receive nutritive products which are tasty and, first and foremos!, healthy.

Human Resources

Respect for the collaborators is the most important underlying principie ofthe HR policy oft he company, which prides itself on having carried out exemplary work in this regard. There are more than 60 direct employees and many other indirect jobs, with workers involved in the processes of production, plantation and logistics.

Social Responsibility

As part of their influence in the community in which the company is inserted, Podium Alimentos has given its support to the public initiative in Tamboara working towards the implementation of Selective Refuse Collection, getting their employees involved in publicising the project. Visits to the local rest home for the elderly, with donations of clothes and sweaters, campaigns to encourage blood donation, and support to other institutions such as the Association of Patients with Speciall Illnesses (APDE) are also part of the social drives taken by the company, which also counts on the support of a psychopedagogue to provide support and guidance for employees' children with difficulties at school.

The Environment

Firmly believing that natural resources may run out should there not be careful work in this area, Podium Alimentos stands out for the balance between nature and industrial growth. With conscience and responsibility, the company plants tree seedlings for reforestation. The selective refuse collection is also a reality which is verily present in the company that, in this way, gives the correct destination to its residues.
